What does the SLC do?

 

In addition to carrying out the fundamental research of the center, the SLC participates in various MCEER activities including:

 

MCEER Annual Meeting (also known as the Principle Investigators Meeting)

Annual Student Retreat

NSF Site Visits

Tri-Center Field Mission

Annual Student Research Accomplishments Volume

Mentoring of students in the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program

Earthquake Engineering Research Institute’s (EERI) Annual Meeting

Engineering Research Centers Annual Meeting

Web Cast Seminar Series

SLC Column in the MCEER Bulletin

Various K-12 Outreach Activities

Other Earthquake Engineering Conferences and Meetings

 

 

In many of the activities above, SLC members present their research in poster sessions or as more formal presentations.  This enables SLC members to receive feedback and perform research at an improved level.
