Bridge Engineering at UB
Beginning Fall 2009, the University at Buffalo will launch a Master's Program in Bridge Engineering. This unique program is being offered with the support of the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration.
Transportation Systems Engineering at UB
The University at Buffalo’s program in transportation systems engineering integrates transportation systems research with research in information and computing technology, extreme event hazard mitigation, and sustainable development.
MEES Scholarships
The Masters in Earthquake Engineering and/or Engineering Seismology (MEEES) has just opened its scholarship application. The Masters is organised by a consortium of European University/Research Institutions, led by the Centre for Post-Graduate Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology – the ROSE School – and featuring participation from

- Imperial College London – UK
- the Middle East Technical University of Ankara – Turkey

2010 SEI/ASCE Student Structural Design Competition
The Structural Engineering Institute of ASCE sponsors a structural design competition for universities. Innovative projects demonstrating excellence in structural engineering are invited for submission. Awards include cash prizes and an opportunity to present their designs at the 2010 SEI Structures Congress in Orlando, Florida.

National Science Foundation
NSF aims to ensure the vitality of the human resource base of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the U.S. and to reinforce its diversity by offering approximately 1,100 graduate fellowships in this competition. The Graduate Research Fellowship provides three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees and is intended for students who are in the early stages of their graduate study. The Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) invests in graduate education for a cadre of diverse individuals who demonstrate their potential to successfully complete graduate degree programs in disciplines relevant to NSF's mission.
