Ron Eguchi, of ImageCat, Inc., captivates attendees at the annual meeting banquet with a presentation on “MCEER Remote Sensing Research following the December 26, 2004 Asian Earthquake and Tsunami.” A member of Eguchi’s ImageCat team took part in post-disaster investigations under the sponsorship of MCEER. Remote-sensing technology holds significant promise for improving pre-event loss estimation and post-event emergency response and recovery from a variety of disasters, including tsunamis.
