Tsunami Animation: Courtesy: National
Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan
It took about 2hrs and 20 mins to reach the coast of Madras, india
I think the importance of this research
was really brought home after the tsunami, the Digital globe images were in
papers and on the news, as it was difficult for reporters to get into the
effected areas, and even then, difficult to express the magnitude of the
damage.
