National Engineers Week is celebrated annually to recognize the vast contributions
made to society by the many disciplines of engineering. Hosts of activities
are conducted across the country to raise public awareness of these significant
achievements and to encourage students from all walks of life to explore their
interests in engineering studies and professions. Co-chaired by The Institute
of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE / IEEE-USA) and the Fluor Corporation,
the year’s event focuses on the globalization of professional engineering. MCEER
is one of many organizations who recognizes and participates in engineers week,
to reach out to the potential next generation of engineers. To learn more about
activities in your area and opportunities to participate, visit the National
