The Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program Seeks Applicants

Applicants are being recruited for NSF's Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program. The program involves undergraduate students in Center research activities through summer internships. MAE (Mid-America Earthquake Center) and PEER (Pacific Earthquake Engineering Center) also participate in the program. Up to eight applicants, who will each receive a stipend of $5000, will be accepted at each Center, and will attend an Earthquake Engineering Symposium in Charleston, South Carolina in August. The deadline for letters of intent is March 31, 2004.
