Craig Davis Appointed to Earthquake Advisory Board
Craig Davis, Ph.D., Manager of Geotechnical Services/Geotechnical Engineering Group, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), was named to the Advisory Committee on Earthquake Hazards Reduction (ACEHR) of the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP).
Dr. Davis is part of a university-industry partnership formed to guide research currently underway as part of the Earthquake Response and Rehabilitation of Critical Lifelines project. The project is funded by the George E. Brown, Jr. Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) program of the National Science Foundation and led by Thomas O’Rourke, Cornell University. Co-PIs are Harry Stewart of Cornell University and Amjad Aref, Andre Filiatrault and Sofia A. Tangalos of the University at Buffalo.
