CSEE Students Involved in MCEER Research Program Recognized for Achievement

Petros Sideris, Maria Koliou, Chandrakanth Bolisetti, Alireza Farhidzadeh, Manish Kumar and Aaron Thompson, all participants in MCEER’s research program and students in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering (CSEE) at the University at Buffalo (UB), were honored at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) 28th Annual Scholarship Reception. Over 420 people attended the event, which was held on March 22, 2013 at the Holiday Inn, Amherst, New York.

Petros Sideris received the CSEE Chair’s Graduate recognition award for academic achievement and significant contribution to the department. Maria Koliou won the Irving H. Shames Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award for her dedication to the CSEE department and exemplary performance as a teaching assistant. Chandrakanth Bolisetti, Alireza Farhidzadeh and Manish Kumar received the Graduate School Ambassador Award for their outstanding academic achievement and knowledge of SEAS. 2012 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) participant Aaron Thompson received the Jack and Barbara Davis Scholarship.
