2008
Andre Filiatrault, Professor, Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering and Director of the University at Buffalo’s Structural Engineering and Earthquake Simulation Laboratory (SEESL)
- received the 2008 State University of New York Research Foundation Outstanding Researcher/Scholar Award
Mehdi Saiidi, MCEER investigator and Professor of Civil and Environmental engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR)
- was named a fellow by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in February 2008
Gilberto Mosqueda, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at the University at Buffalo
- was given the 2008 Rising Star Award from the State University of New York Research Foundation
- has won a prestigious Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF). NSF’s most prestigious award for new faculty members, the highly competitive CAREER Program recognizes and supports the early career-development activities of teacher-scholars most likely to become the academic leaders of the 21st century
