Applicants Sought for Field Mission to Italy

Graduate students in earthquake engineering are invited to apply to this year’s Field Mission Fellowship Program. The field mission will take place in Italy, where participants will visit the University of Pavia, laboratory facilities at the University of Naples, the Disaster Management Center near Naples and the site of the recent Puglia earthquake. They will also engage in a hands-on field assessment exercise. The trip is scheduled for May 17 –24, 2003.

Graduate students from MCEER will join their peers from the Mid America Earthquake Center and the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center on the trip. Last year’s participants visited Taiwan.
