2006 LSAMP-MCEER Bridge Diversity Fellowship for Engineering Ph.D. Students

The Ph.D. fellowship is open to outstanding civil engineering graduate students from LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program) and HBCU-UP (Historically Black Colleges and Universities Undergraduate Program). The award allows students to pursue a Ph.D. program in earthquake studies at NSF-funded, MCEER-affiliated universities. More information and application instructions can be found here.
The deadline is April 1, 2006.

2006 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program and 2006 REU Diversity Program

Two REU summer internship programs are offered this year. Both programs sponsor outstanding students in civil engineering to spend ten weeks conducting individual research projects at an NSF-funded MCEER-affiliated earthquake research university. At the end of the program, students will present their research results at a symposium in Bend, Oregon.

Both REU programs are open to junior or senior undergraduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Diversity Program applicants must be from the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program (LSAMP) or the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Undergraduate Program (HBCU-UP). More information and application instructions are available here.
The deadline for both REU programs is April 1, 2006.
