NCEER's PACE (Professional and Continuing Education) Program is planning to extend its series of short courses on Passive Energy Dissipation for Seismic/Wind Design and Retrofit, with tentative offerings planned for Japan, Korea and Taiwan in the summer of 1997. A new course on the use of base isolation technology in seismic design is under development for winter 1997-98.
