Monographs
synthesize MCEER's technical achievements for a wider range of readers than
the technical report series. Monographs are a direct result of MCEER's research
program over the past thirteen years. Each book provides an in-depth view
of the topic addressed, by summarizing the essence and significance of the
problems investigated, the methods used, and the various solutions/issues
proposed. Topics include passive energy dissipation systems for structural
design and retrof it, engineering and socioeconomic impacts of earthquakes,
and the response of buried pipelines to earthquakes.
