Best Article Competition: 2004-2005

This year marked the Third Annual Best Student Article Competition. Members of MCEER’s Industry Advisory Board (IAB) judged the 10 submissions, and selected a winner and two honorable mentions. The winner of this year’s competition is Ramiro Vargas, University of Buffalo, and honorable mentions were awarded to T. Shenthan and Dong Wang, both also from the University of Buffalo, for their outstanding efforts. As the winner of the Best Paper Award, Ramiro Vargas was invited to present his research at the 2006 MCEER Annual Meeting.
