National Center on Research for Earthquake Engineering (NCREE), National Taiwan University
MCEER has had a long ongoing collaboration with NCREE over the years, mainly focusing on the development of earthquake-resistant buildings and bridges. Both Centers are members of ANCER, and actively contribute to cooperative and collaborative research and outreach efforts. Specific research projects between MCEER and NCREE include:
In addition, a major joint reconnaissance effort was organized shortly after the devastating Chi-Chi earthquake struck Taiwan in 1999. This effort resulted in rapid publication of a full-length reconnaissance report, and a number of related projects conducted by the two Centers.
