American Red Cross activities in the 11 southeastern parishes of Louisiana are being coordinated by a central office located in Covington (St. Tammany Parish). Among these, six parishes had at least one financial assistance and bulk distribution center open today: LaFourche (1), Orleans (9), Plaquemines (1), St. Bernard (1), St. Charles (1), and St. Tammany (1). The sites in St. Charles and St. Tammany parishes were due to close today. Affected individuals can continue to apply for aid by phone.
Activities of the American Red Cross in all other affected parishes in Louisiana are coordinated by the site in Baton Rouge listed above. Although there used to be bulk distribution centers coordinated by the American Red Cross, most of these have either been turned over to local chapters or been closed.
