This single-story (2-level) parking structure just west of a hotel building on the Gulf waterfront suffered partial collapse of the roof deck. The structure has cast-in-place reinforced concrete columns, precast concrete girders, and precast, pre-tensioned concrete double-tee deck beams. The partial collapse of this 6x6 bay (~60m x 60m) frame involved between one and four bays on the seaward edge.
Figure 1: This figure shows a partially collapsed single-story (2-level) precast concrete parking structure. The collapsed bays are at the back (south side) of the structure.

The Cornell Internet Map Server generates GIS maps using the GPS coordinates of the location visited. The map server integrates existing data (such as municipal records) with the information obtained in the field by the research team to generate the GIS map. The triangles shown represent the site visited. More information can be obtained by clicking on the help link on the map itself.
