This three-story (four-level) cast-in-place reinforced concrete parking garage south of the US Courthouse sustained no structural damage, despite storm-surge flooding of approximately 2.7m depth, apparently reaching the soffit of the second floor deck. The garage has precast concrete cladding panels. Gate equipment was damaged and some cars were damaged. The lack of structural damage is notable because of its contrast with the collapses of precast concrete parking garages of similar configuration and exposure to the storm.
The dimensions of the garage are approximately 150 ft by 300 ft by 40 ft. Figure 1 shows the structural system and some of the damage to cars.

The Cornell Internet Map Server generates GIS maps using the GPS coordinates of the location visited. The map server integrates existing data (such as municipal records) with the information obtained in the field by the research team to generate the GIS map. The triangles shown represent the site visited. More information can be obtained by clicking on the help link on the map itself.
