Ground Motion Records
The National Accelerometric Network (RAN) has published acceleration records for the M5.8 earthquake that occurred on April 6, 2009 in L’Aquila, Italy at hours 01.32 UTC. The records were produced from the stations of the National Accelerometric Network, which consists of 388 channels (119 analog and 269 digital). The stations are installed in areas of greater seismic risk throughout Italy.
Records are available are for the following events:
- 6 April 2009 - 01:32 hours (UTC) - Ml = 5.8
- 6 April 2009 - 02:37 hours (UTC) - Ml = 4.6
- 6 April 2009 - 16:38 hours (UTC) - Ml = 4.0
- 6 April 2009 - 23:15 hours (UTC) - Ml = 4.8
The records are available for download as zip files below (right click for easy downloading). A table in PDF format is also available.
Records for all seismic events of the April 6 L’Aquila earthquake with Ml> 4.0 will be made available at a later date.
