International Workshop Series on Remote Sensing

Since 2003, leading experts in the field of remote sensing technologies have gathered for a series of annual international workshops to discuss its use in and application for improved disaster response. Workshops have been held in Irvine, California (2003), Newport Beach, California (2004), Chiba University, Japan (2005), Cambridge, UK (2006), Washington, DC (2007), University of Pavia, Italy (2008), University of Texas at Austin (2009), Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan (2010), Stanford University (2011) and Tohoku University, Japan (2012).
