UB2020 Working Groups
Working Groups Identified; Meetings Scheduled through May 2008
During the recent UB 2020 Forum on Extreme Events, participants divided into two break-out sessions to exchange interests and expertise, and to identify areas of future collaborations. Both groups committed to monthly working group meetings to communicate with each other on a regular basis. These meetings will help to advance the goals of this strategic strength by finding ways to combine areas of expertise and to leverage this expertise to pursue large multidisciplinary projects from a variety of funding sources.
The two groups Human Factors and Extreme Events Working Group and Response and Recovery Issues for Hazards Mitigation in Large Geographical Areas Working Group will meet together Mondays, from noon until 2pm on March 17, April 14 and May 12. The meetings will be held in 143A Hayes Hall on the south campus (an email alert will be sent if the location changes).
All meetings are open to the UB community. Please join your colleagues for what is hoped to be enlightening and productive discussions.
