Why am I getting a blank page when I try to open or download a PDF document?
There are multiple causes for a blank page when trying to download or open
a PDF document. Following are some things that you can try that may fix this
problem:
- There is a known issue with Microsoft Internet Explorer and Adobe PDF files.
If you get a blank or incomplete page, or an error message that says "the
connection has timed out," instead of opening the PDF in the browser,
save the file to your local computer. To save the file, refer to the following
instructions:
- Right-click the link to the PDF file.
- From the drop-down menu, select Save Target As.
- Save the PDF file to your local computer where you can easily find it,
such as on your desktop.
- Double-click to open the PDF file saved on your desktop.
- A blank PDF document may occur if you are using an older version of Adobe
Reader.
- For help from Adobe, including links to download the newest version
of the reader ,
go to Adobe's
article PDF
pages don't appear in web browser window
- A blank PDF document can also occur if you have pop-up blockers enabled
on your computer.
