|The SLC has been
|•Given the multi-institutional nature of MCEER the Annual SLC retreat
provides an opportunity for students from all the participating institutions
to meet and present their research, as well as interact with one another in
social settings. At each retreat we have had a Principal Investigator as a
|•Since 2001, the SLC has put together its own research accomplishments
volume, which was debuted at the NSF site visit in June 2001 (Jeff pass
copies of 2002 SRA around)
|•The volumes contain articles written completely by SLC students about
their research, and is similar to the formal Research Accomplishments volumes
published by the Principle Investigators.
|•The SLC contributes a column to the MCEER bulletin. These columns
contain updates on SLC activities and results of work accomplished at SLC
|•The newly established SLC website gives a comprehensive overview of
the Council, and serves as an outlet for information on past, current and
future activities of the Council.
